Our founders, Adeline and Zhi Kai, embarked on this journey when they welcomed their first child. This pivotal moment was more than just the addition of a new member to their family; it was the seed for Kaiby Box. Adeline, an early-childhood teacher specialising in special needs education, has always understood the immense value of toys in a child’s learning process. She echoes Albert Einstein’s sentiment that “Play is the highest form of research.” Her experience in teaching and parenting drove her to explore a diverse range of toys, constantly searching for the perfect tools to aid in learning and development.
Adeline’s frequent shopping trips – from online platforms like Carousell, Shopee, Lazada to physical stores such as Kiddy Palace and Toys“R”Us – became a testament to her commitment. She tirelessly sought both new and pre-loved toys, each chosen with a purpose to enrich their child’s life. However, this non-stop pursuit of toys sparked a concern for Zhi Kai. The challenge was clear: how could they provide the best for their child without succumbing to the pitfalls of excessive spending?
The answer came in the form of Kaiby Box, launched in November 2018. Kaiby Box, pronounced “Kai-Be,” meaning “Kai Baby,” is a blend of both parents’ names and a nod to their shared journey in parenthood. Based in Singapore, our brand has become synonymous with thoughtful, educational, and budget-friendly toy gift solutions for parents.
Kaiby Box is not just another newborn gift box. It’s a carefully curated experience aimed at fostering development and sparking joy in both children and parents. Each box is a treasure trove of handpicked items, tailored to the child’s age and developmental stage.
